COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
1. All entries to the competitions should be forwarded to the secretary on the appropriate forms by 1st
October.
Any changes should be notified to the secretary at the earliest date
2. Anyone who registers to enter a competition and then finds that they will be unavailable to play in
subsequent round or finals, should withdraw from the competition immediately
3. Failure to turn up at a venue without prior notification to the secretary will result in that players team being
fined £5.00 and all players from that team becoming ineligible to play in further competitions until such fine
is paid.
4. KNOCKOUT CUP.
• Rules as for league matches. Players to have played at least three league matches in the current season
before they are eligible to play. ( 3 league matches before the current round of the cup match in which a
substitute is to be played)
5. DOUBLES
• Venue to be decided and notified to captains with players as per draw.
• Start time 7.30 pm.
• Games to consist of 3 legs of 501, flying start and double finish.
• Reserves may only be substituted in ROUND ONE and must be named on the registration form.
Substituted players must play in all subsequent rounds.
• Losers to mark the boards.
6. SINGLES
• Venue to be decided and notified to captains with players as per draw.
• Start time 7.30 pm.
• Games to consist of 3 legs of 301, double start and double finish.
• Losers to mark the boards.
7. MIXED DOUBLES
• Venue to be decided and notified to captains with players as per draw.
• Start time 7.30 pm.
• Games to consist of 3 legs of 501, flying start and double finish.
• The lady player must be a registered member of the league.
• The male player must be aged 18 or over.
• Reserves may be substituted as per rules for doubles.
• Losers to mark the boards.
8. CAPTAIN’S CUP
• To be played on finals night at a venue to be decided.
• Start time 7.30 pm.
• Games to consist of 3 legs of 301, double start and double finish.
• Vice -captains may only play if they are named on the registration form.
• Losers to mark the boards.
